A00334 - Book of the Month for the Month of September 2024: The Seat of the Soul by Gary Zukav: Souls

 It is October 7, a rather sad day in history for now and forevermore.  It is time to leave the book for the month of September 2024 and go on to the book for October 2024.  However, before leaving The Seat of the Soul, I leave you with these passages from the chapter on "Souls":

"There exists a realm that the religious language of the West would call the Angelic kingdom.  This is a range of beings of numerous frequencies and qualities of consciousness, many of whom guide and interact with us upon the Earth.  This realm is indeed balanced with other forces, but it cannot be understood in human terms.  Evolution continues in that realm, although there is that perception that our words "harmony" and "perfectness" would address.  An Angel might be thought of as a force of consciousness that has evolved into an appropriate teaching modality for the planetary village called Earth, but may also have been a part of the evolution of other galaxies and Life forms there.

"An Angel's home, so to speak, is that kingdom, the Angelic kingdom, and the range of nonphysical Life forms that exist within and lower than and beyond that vibrational sphere.  Angels continue evolution, as do other members of that realm, as do those consciousnesses that we would recognize as masters, such as those after whom religions have been named upon our Earth.  That evolution continues, but there is perfectness rather than the experience of fusing consciousness with matter that occurs within our Earth school." (page 169.)

The Seat of the Soul was written 35 years ago and was written to help usher in a "New Age" of evolution of mankind.  Sadly, I do not see that the "New Age" ever occurred, and I do not see that the evolution of mankind ever progressed.  The Seat of the Soul is still a very popular book and i wonder why.

As for the Angelic kingdom, I am convinced that there is another form of existence that does exist beyond what we can see.  However, whether or not the Angels continue to evolve seems to me to be very speculative and, indeed, appears to be contrary to the rudimentary scientific evidence that we currently have. 

But then again, who am I to say.

A00143 - Hot off the press: Manhattan Beach apologizes!

I received an email a few moments ago from my Amherst College classmate, Peter Alfvin, who is a resident of Manhattan Beach ... and who has been keeping me informed of the City discussions concerning the return of the Bruce Beach property to my Bruce Family relatives and the compensation paid along with the protracted process of the Bruce Family receiving an apology for what was done to the family one hundred years ago.  Peter's email title says it all and the attached newspaper article says it all.   At long last, the City of Manhattan Beach has apologized to the Bruce Family.  Now, finally, ... maybe ... the reconciliation can begin. Peter, lunch is on me when next I come down your way.  We have much to talk about my friend.   March is Women's History Month Women's History Month - Wikipedia and on March 11, Ramadan began Ramadan (calendar month) - Wikipedia Ramadan was the time when it was hoped that the Israel-Hamas War would be paused for humanitarian reasons  Israel–Hamas war - Wikipedia but it was not.  In a previous email (see below), I discuss the legacy of the 1948 Deir Yassin Massacre which gave rise to the Nakba. Sadly, the 75th-year anniversary of the Nakba has predictably proven to be woefully tragic. As a student of history, I sense that the result of this latest episode of the Nakba will not bring peace but will produce a generation of young Palestinians who are committed to resist.
