A00398 - A Special Thank You to Susan Prattis for Correspondence on Ernest Just

As is my custom, I would like to thank Susan Prattis, Class of 1980, for her comments concerning Ernest Just, the father of Highwarden Just, Amherst College Class of 1940.  Susan noted that

"there is now the Ernest Just Society that was formed in the early 2000s as an affinity group for African American Scientists. I believe that they still exist and had close ties to the ASCB, American Society of Cell Biology, and the AAAS, American Society for Advancement of Science.

Dartmouth has done a nice job of recognizing his role and genius as an alumnus and has named a variety of programs, fellowships and professorships after him ( calltolead.dartmouth.edu/stories/ee-just-scientific-pioneer-member-class-1907)."

In a series of emails that follow, there will be more about Ernest Just

Stay tuned.
