A00473 - Re: Question re Black World War II Bombers

 Deuce,

At least until I graduated, I knew it as the Amherst Afro-American Society. I graduated in 1975.  I do not know when it became the Black Students Union.

By the way, I was intrigued by your mention of the Black World War II Bombers and I think I heard you say that one of the bombers was your father and that he served as an instructor for the Tuskegee Airmen.  Did I hear you correctly?  I will be getting to your role in the Memorial Service soon and would like to get it right.

Happy Holidays to you!

Hey Skip
I’m writing an essay about my experience at Amherst for our 50th reunion next year
I can’t remember what the name of our Black student organization was as I think it went through a few iterations while we were there
Thanks and hope u r well
